Panaderia Pantoja

Brand Identity, Packaging

Panaderia Pantoja roots can be traced way back to the 1950s. Aurelio and Celinda Pantoja arrived for the first time in their inherited ancestral home in Tanauan, Batangas. In their backyard they discovered a worn out oven. This oven became the inspiration for Aurelio to start a bakery business.

Today, Panaderia Pantoja is one of the province’s largest bakeries with branches in different towns all over Batangas and Manila.

So how do you breathe new life to a brand that has such a rich history? The answer is a look that will bring out the best of both worlds—a fusion of old and new. The result is a subtle evolution of an old icon. We paid tribute to the brand’s founder by designing a vintage inspired illustration. We paired a script and sans serif typeface to keep the brand’s heritage intact. Lastly, we took inspiration from the Spanish origin of the name to design the tile patterns seen in packaging.
